Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for Debris Removal Laborers to assist with cleaning out properties throughout the city of Detroit!
The City of Detroit is looking for residents that live in Detroit to apply:
- Preparing sites by cleaning them, loading or unloading materials, and removing hazards & debris.
- Assisting with removing debris from properties and properly dumping them in dumpsters for removal.
- Completing tasks with external landscape and internal clean outs in properties.
- Must know how to operate a chain saw and lawn equipment.
- Operating a chain saw.
Duties:
- Utilize power tools and hand tools to clear debris from outdoor spaces
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, tree trimming
- Work on lawn care activities to enhance the appearance of the property
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Experience
- Experience in landscape maintenance or similar field is preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment and tools used in debris removal
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols

Job Type: Full-time
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour/ Same week pay
Expected hours: 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
