Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Appliance Loader Assistant will work closely with the Route Driver to meet the daily Appliance Pickup Appointments. They will serve as the principle point of contact with the customer, document pickups, while ensuring high quality customer service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work as part of a two-man crew to safely remove appliances from the customer home.
- Provide navigational assistance to the Route Driver, perform call-ahead to customers, document the pickup and removal of identified appliances.
- Meet the established daily, weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators for appliance pickup appointments
- Maintain professional appearance.
- Track and report pickups and deliveries using a mobile device with pick up routing application, and complete paperwork as required.
- Collaboratively work with program manager and team to identify and recommend areas of process improvement
- The ability to lift at least 75 pounds with manual equipment such as shoulder straps/shoulder dolly.
- Perform work related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance
- Proficiency with mobile devices GPS and related mapping applications.
- Exercises good judgment and maintains safety at all times
- Able to communicate with technical and non-technical individuals
- Able to work independently and with a team
- Able to learn and work with new technology (e.g. handheld data devices)
- Able to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Able to bend, stoop, and reach
- Able to lift 75 lbs. or more and maneuver load safely.
- Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening
- High School Diploma or equivalent
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Able to work in very fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers
- Knowledge and understanding of safe material handling
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year furniture or appliance delivery or loading and unloading
- 2-3 years of customer service experience
- Valid driver’s license preferred, with a good driving record / motor vehicle report
- Experience with Dispatch and Customer Management Systems/Databases
