Coordinator of Security Services:
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and vigilant security guard to join our team. The security officer’s duties will be to guarantee the safety and security of our premises and personnel. 
This role involves conducting regular patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to incidents promptly. You will be the first line of defense against unauthorized access and potential threats, ensuring a safe and secure environment for everyone.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Conduct regular patrols: Perform scheduled and random patrols to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities. Stay alert for any unusual behavior, unlocked doors, or signs of forced entry, and report findings immediately. Conduct a mobile patrol of the outer perimeter of the property, noting any issues or unauthorized vehicles.
  2. ‍Monitor and control access: Oversee entry points by verifying the identity of individuals attempting to gain access. Use identification checks, visitor logs, and access control systems to admit only authorized personnel.
  3. ‍Operate and monitor surveillance equipment: Continuously monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment. Respond to any unusual activities captured by these systems and certify that all equipment is functioning as it should.
  4. ‍Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances: React immediately to alarms by assessing the situation and determining the appropriate response. Investigate the cause of the alarm, contact emergency services & management as needed, and neutralize threats.
  5. ‍Assist employees and visitors: Announce visitors to the receiving party. Greet and direct all visitors, ensuring no one wanders the premises without an escort. Provide help and guidance to employees and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. This includes giving directions, providing information about the premises, and assisting with any security-related issues.
  6. ‍Prepare and submit incident reports: Document all incidents, security breaches, and disturbances in comprehensive reports. Ensure that reports are submitted promptly and kept on file for future reference and analysis. Maintain daily logs on-site.
  7. Uphold and enforce company policies and security protocols. 
 
Required skills:
  1. Keen observation skills: Possess a sharp eye for detail to monitor surroundings capably, identifying potential security threats or irregularities.
  2. ‍Strong verbal and written communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, the public, and law enforcement, ensuring accurate information relay and reporting.
  3. ‍Physical fitness: Must have the ability to perform duties that involve standing, walking, and responding quickly to emergencies for extended periods.
  4. ‍Quick thinking and problem-solving abilities: Ability to make swift, informed decisions during incidents or emergencies, prioritizing safety and security.
  5. ‍Technical proficiency: Skilled in operating various surveillance equipment, alarm systems, and basic computer applications for reporting and documentation.  Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  6. ‍Professional interpersonal skills: Capable of interacting courteously and effectively with diverse groups of people, providing a reassuring and professional presence.
