Job Description

MACHINE OPERATOR / PRODUCTION - IMMEDIATE OPENINGS

Shift: 10:00 pm to 6:00 am $15.30/Hr. ( Monday through Saturday)

Key Areas of Responsibility (Answerable for the following end results)
  1. Operate production tooling and equipment to achieve production and quality goals and standards.
  2. Assist in maintaining Business Operating System integrity and alerting management to situations that do not meet the quality system requirements.
  3. Maintain the integrity of tooling and equipment necessary to perform work.
  4. Disposition and move suspect assemblies or components to the Non-Conforming or assembly rework area.
  5. Work in a manner that promotes teamwork among fellow workers.
  6. Communicate effectively with direct supervision on all aspects of the job performance, including across all shifts.
  7. Accurately complete all paperwork associated with the job assignment.
  8. Document all activities as required.
  9. Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety.
  10. Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.
 
 
Limits of Authority
  1. Advise the Department Manager of those situations that may pose a significant risk to the program, product assurance, facilities, employee safety, or customer satisfaction results. 
  2. Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to products, processes & systems.
  3. Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, or system.
  4. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through the appropriate channels and verify implementation.
  5. Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming products until the deficiency is corrected. 
 
 
Basic Education, Experience, and Skills Required
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Good written and mathematical skills.
  3. Good communication and team working skills.
  4. Possesses color and/or appearance testing approval where applicable.
  5. Familiarity with quality specifications and documentation in an automotive environment is a plus.
